Updates!

Well, let's see...Liam is 21 months old! WOW!! He has been talking a lot lately, at least trying to I should say. SpongeBob is a new word which sounds like BumBob but we understand him. He's gone peepee and poopy on the potty a few times!!! The no more diaper light is shining at the end of the tunnel for us.

Jo, Charlie, Tanner & Brett came for a visit and we (especially the kids) had a great time. They are currently still in London touring around and my kids miss them so much. Had rain the entire time they were here so hope they are having better weather in London.

I just got my certificate from The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and I am now Officially a Member under my ancestor Paul Van Der Voort.

Will have to post some pictures as soon as I can.
Hope everyone is well.

Our Day in London....

We took a bus tour (day trip) to London. Liam was fine until the bus moved and then he cried almost the entire way to London, about an hour and a half! Once we got into the city...he fell asleep! Go figure.

It rained once we got there and we did the hop on hop off bus ride and the kids and Bud sat on top of the bus (no roof) and got pretty wet. Liam and I were on the first level where he fussed and cried some more!

It finally stopped raining once we reached the palace and it was a pretty nice day from then on. We didn't go through any building due to the time schedule but walked around a lot and saw a lot of nice place. We even got a boat ride which we missed our stop and ended up staying on longer and saw the Greenwich Timeline Building (where all the clocks are set to). That was pretty cool, although we docked for 15 mins and didn't have to get out and look inside.

Hoping to go back and see more next time!

We had to head South for some appointments so we decided we should visit the surrounding area and sight see instead of making the appointments and heading home like we have done a few times before. So we stopped in Cambridge and looked around and then went to the Cambridge American Memorial Cemetery. It was such a nice day and worth another visit...maybe when university lets out and the town isn't full of college kids. We also went to London on Saturday-look for another post on that soon.

Audrey's School Play

Audrey and her K/1st grade class performed "The Three Piggy Opera" for parents, siblings and grades 2 through 5. They were so cute!! Audrey had a solo as the Brick Peddler. She did a great job and hasn't stopped singing since.
Mrs. New asked the kids to not sing any of the songs at home so the entire opera would be a surprise to us all...and it was! We didn't even know that she had a solo! But now that it's over and we all saw it, she sings the entire opera from start to finish!
If I can figure it out I will try to add her solo on this site at some time.
In the meantime...enjoy the mini slide show.

Feb 2008

Audrey had an eye appointment and she needs glasses for reading, writing, computer play and other up-close task work. She has adjusted well to them and we think she looks darn cute!

Liam's First Haircut! 2-12-09

Well I did it! I had too, his hair was getting so long, but was so pretty, it needed to be cut and he needed to look like a little boy. The lady did save a cute curly from the side and a big bunch from the bangs. He looks like a big boy! :( So sad...at least he's still very cute!

He is also getting 4 molars at one time so he is cute and grumpy! lol
